Taylor Swift was once again spotted in New York City (where she appears to be recording new music...maybe with Joe Keery from Stranger Things?) and we're here to talk about her skirt. Which is actually a skort.

Despite being something your mom may or may not have forced you to wear between the ages of 11-13, skorts are actually an ingenious invention and an absolute summer staple. Especially if you wanna look like you're going to a party in the front and day camp in the back.

And good news: while Taylor has been favoring some kinda pricy designer brands as of late, her skort is from Free People and is under $100.

According to @taylorswiftstyled, Tay is wearing The Emmy Skort, which retails for $88. Taylor's exact shade of denim is almost sold out (run don't walk), but there are a variety of sizes left in white, misty blue, light blue wash, and black.

Meanwhile, Taylor's ruffled white blouse appears to be the Henri Top in Salt Eyelet from Dôen (which is a little more on the expensive side at $288) and her shoes are the Mary Jane Loafers from GH Bass (which will set you back $185).

Anyway, speaking of skorts (truly, when are we not?), Taylor wore another denim skort from Free People earlier this week—which is also still happens to be available in a variety of colors for $78. Get on it! Live your best skort summer!
